The BGSO Stands with the Black Community

The Biomedical Graduate Student Organization (BGSO) was founded in the Spring of 2016 as a way to enhance the careers of graduate students in the biomedical sciences by offering opportunities for professional development, community outreach, and social networking. We aim to bring students from across the biomedical disciplines together, fostering lasting friendships and collaborations.

MAY
NIH Career Symposium
On May 8th, the 13th Annual NIH OITE Career Symposium will be happening virtually this year. We encourage all BGSO members to check out their website and see what videos and panels could aid in their career exploration. There might even be career paths mentioned that you have never thought about or heard of. This time during quarantine is a great time to jumpstart your career development.
Student Spotlights
Learn more about our amazing students
Over the last few weeks we have added a new tab to our website titled, "Student Spotlights." Here we will be highlighting many of our graduating students and those that have received new and exciting awards and honors throughout their PhD. So far, Kerri Beth Boggs has written pieces after interviewing Meredith Eckstein, Diane Begemann, and Colleen Bodnar. Pop over to the page to learn more about our fantastic UKY BGSO graduate students!
